Job summary

The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Omaha seeks a Pottery Instructor to teach pottery classes, develop curricula, and establish partnerships within the community. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts preferred or equivalent qualified experience.

• Evidence of experience in curriculum development.

Responsibilities

• Teach pottery classes, including prep work and clean up.
• Run the kiln and return finished pieces to participants promptly.
• Design and implement curriculum, assessment rubrics, and lesson plans.
• Develop collaborative partnerships for pottery programming with schools and organizations.
• Participate in recruitment and outreach efforts.
• Instruct in proper care and use of tools and equipment.
• Attend staff meetings and teach additional classes/workshops as needed.
