Job summary

Spanish Fork City Parks and Recreation seeks a Ceramics Program Instructor to plan, teach and guide ceramic classes for all ages. You will demonstrate hand-building, pinch pots, sculpting and glazing while operating kilns and maintaining a safe, welcoming studio.

A flexible schedule including events is required, along with the ability to work with different ages and abilities. Background check may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ceramics coursework preferred.
• Flexible schedule including events and load-in during special events.
• Patient, creative and enthusiastic with inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach ceramic classes for patrons of all ages and skill levels.
• Demonstrate techniques: hand-building, pinch pots, sculpting, glazing, kiln use.
• Ensure studio safety, cleanliness and equipment upkeep.
• Promote creativity and ensure respectful interactions with participants.
