Job summary

The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking an Art Instructor to design and deliver engaging art classes for students of all ages. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts preferred or equivalent qualified experience.
• Two years’ teaching experience required; five years preferred.
• Evidence of portfolio shown.
• Evidence of experience in curriculum development.

Responsibilities

• Teach art classes as assigned.
• Effectively design and implement curriculum, assessment rubrics, and lesson plans; provide records to the Fine Arts Coordinator.
• Develop and implement collaborative partnerships for art programming with schools and organizations.
• Participate in recruitment and outreach efforts for Fine Arts.
• Instruct in proper care and use of tools and equipment.
• Attend assigned staff meetings.
• Willing to teach additional classes and workshops as needed.
