Job summary

Kyocera International, Inc. is hiring an Operator 2 for our Vancouver, WA facility. The role focuses on preparing, loading, inspecting, and running parts across 1–4 production machines with supervision.

You will follow written instructions, work orders, and standard programs while maintaining quality and safety standards. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years in machining or a Machine Technology certificate, ability to read and follow English instructions, and willingness

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–2 years machining experience or Machine Technology certificate.
  • Ability to read and comprehend English instructions.
  • Able to perform basic arithmetic and measurements.
  • Familiarity with blueprints/ GD&T.
  • Willingness to wear clean-room apparel and PPE.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
  • ITAR environment eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain production flow by loading parts into machines and monitoring operations.
  • Unload and inspect parts, recording any defects.
  • Record metrics (weight, length, counts) and maintain tools/records.
  • Monitor machine operation and report major repairs as needed.
  • Keep area clean, safe, and organized; support 5S initiatives.
  • Use handheld measuring instruments and assist others with measurement.
  • Transport parts between machines without damage; cross-train in CMM.
