Job summary

The Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts seeks a Chief Executive Officer to lead fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and organizational growth. The CEO will be a strong, collaborative communicator, guiding staff and volunteers to advance programs, partnerships, and community impact.

Reporting to the Board, the CEO will build pipelines with major donors, strategic partners, and community leaders, ensuring financial health, sustainability, and a vibrant Jewish life in the Pioneer Valley

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience with strategic leadership, development and management in Jewish Federations or nonprofit sectors.
• Proven success leading an organization of comparable size and complexity; nonprofit or mission-driven environment.
• Track record of building, developing, and inspiring high-performing teams through supervision and empowerment.
• Significant experience in total financial resource development oversight, including campaigns and giving levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to the Board, staff, and community, developing a clear vision for JFWM.
• Lead and mentor the professional team, fostering a collaborative, accountable culture.
• Recruit, lead, and evaluate high-performing teams advancing JFWM’s mission and programs.
• Lead fundraising strategy, strengthen donor engagement, and grow annual campaigns and donor base.
• Cultivate relationships with major donors, solicit leadership gifts and steward partnerships.
