Job summary

Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts is seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead fundraising, operations and external relations for a multi-program nonprofit. You will guide a professional team, steward major donors, partner with local schools, synagogues and community organizations, and advance programs that deepen engagement and sustain impact across the Pioneer Valley and beyond.

Qualifications

• Senior-level leadership experience in Jewish federations or similar nonprofits.
• Proven success leading a large fundraising program with major gifts.
• Strong written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Ability to recruit, develop and inspire high-performing teams.
• Experience working with boards, volunteers, and donor committees.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising strategy and donor engagement to grow annual campaigns.
• Supervise and develop the professional team and empower staff.
• Cultivate strategic partnerships with community organizations and schools.
• Serve as chief ambassador and spokesperson to funders and stakeholders.
• Oversee financial health, budgeting, and operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Board and lay leadership on strategic priorities.
