Job summary

The Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts in Springfield, MA seeks a dynamic Chief Executive Officer to lead fundraising, strategy, and community impact for a storied nonprofit. The CEO will oversee a professional team, steward major donors, and strengthen partnerships with schools, synagogues, and local organizations while guiding long-term sustainability.

Reporting to the Board, this role requires exceptional communication, collaboration, and a track record of building and sustaining

Qualifications

• Senior-level leadership experience in Jewish Federations or similar nonprofit organizations.
• Proven success in strategic planning and fundraising across campaigns and endowments.
• Ability to cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors and build long-term relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to the Board, staff, and community to strengthen JFWM's role as a central convener.
• Lead and inspire a professional team with supervision, coaching, and accountability.
• Recruit, develop, and evaluate a high-performing team advancing JFWM's mission.
• Oversee fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and growth of annual campaigns and donor base.
• Strengthen partnerships with community organizations, schools, synagogues, and stakeholders.
• Represent JFWM publicly as chief ambassador and spokesperson.
