Job summary

Covista in Chicago seeks a strategic communications leader to shape the CEO’s voice and platform across internal and external audiences. You’ll partner with Corporate Affairs, Investor Relations and senior leaders to ensure a consistent, credible leadership presence that supports Covista’s business goals.

The role emphasizes preparing, editing, and scheduling key moments, speeches and investor-facing events with a strong focus on AI-enabled insight and channel-appropriate messaging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism or related field required.
• 10+ years of communications experience advising a CEO or C-suite leader directly.
• Strategic judgment: choosing channels and moments that advance business goals.
• Exceptional editor’s ear: sharpen leadership voice across formats.
• Executive social expertise: LinkedIn presence with measurable impact.
• Business fluency: comfortable at intersection of reputation, IR and strategy.
• Discretion and presence: trusted with sensitive information in high-stakes settings.
• Comfort with AI tools: proactively using AI to improve output.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation for high-stakes moments: briefs, messaging, Q&A and rehearsals.
• Draft and edit speeches, remarks, bylines and presentations.
• Build and run the CEO’s communications calendar with senior staff.
• Define and report success measures linking visibility to business outcomes.
• Use AI and technology to sharpen insight and speed.
