Job summary

Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia is seeking a Part-time Food & Beverage Server to join the hospitality team. You will greet guests, take orders, and deliver attentive service in a fast-paced, upscale setting with Moroccan and Spanish influences.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of serving experience, knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is required; Food Handlers certification is expected at hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of serving experience, preferably in a high-volume or upscale hotel restaurant.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer.
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must hold a Food Handlers certification at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge guests, anticipate needs, and respond to requests.
• Provide friendly, professional service and follow steps of service.
• Maintain menu and beverage knowledge, including wine listings.
• Set up and breakdown station; clean glassware during shift.
• Enter orders accurately and coordinate with kitchen and bar staff.
• Assist in seating guests and answering phones as needed.
• Cross-train in other food and beverage areas as required.
• Perform other duties assigned by the restaurant manager.

PART TIME Food & Beverage Server

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet all guests, anticipate guest needs, and respond to guest inquiries or requests.
• Provide outstanding service to members and guests in a friendly and professional manner, following proper steps of service.
• Must maintain full familiarity with menus and knowledge of beverage offerings, including wine service.
• Complete station set-up and breakdown/side-work.
• Polish and clean all water glassware on assigned station during each shift.
• Take food and beverage orders and upsell as often as possible.
• Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests using surnames when obtained.
• Send orders using MICROS systems.
• Communicate with the culinary team regarding meal requirements, allegories, dietary needs, and special requests.
• Alert Restaurant Manager immediately if a guest has a suggestion, complaint or issue.
• Present accurate check to guests and process payment.
• Assist in seating guests and answering phones for the restaurant as needed.
• Crosstrain among other food and beverage outlets as needed.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the restaurant manager.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 1 year of serving experience, preferably in high volume and casual environment or part of an upscale hotel restaurant outlet.
• Must adhere and agree to compensation acknowledgement and tip reporting guidelines.
• Must have knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer.
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
• Must have unexpired Food Handlers obtained upon hire.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, place, and carry objects weighing up to 50lbs.
