Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia is seeking a Server Assistant for the Taqueria Centro. The role focuses on delivering high-quality service, assisting with food and beverage service, and maintaining a pristine dining environment for guests.

Responsibilities include supporting the Restaurant Manager, running food, bussing tables, stocking supplies, and ensuring safety and cleanliness across indoor and pool areas. The position requires strong guest service skills and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Assist in serving and bussing, maintaining clean tables and dining areas
• Transport food items from kitchen to service areas and ensure proper setup of expo
• Assist in moving tables, chairs, and poolside areas as needed
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in pool decks, cabanas, and pool bars
• Open/Move umbrellas and stock towel stations as required
• Carry trays and assist with guest requests with a proactive attitude

JOB DESCRIPTION

No Job Description for a position can possibly include all duties which may be requested by guests or required by the hotel. The objective of all positions is to effectively provide the services personally, or to immediately refer requests to the appropriate department manager. The following is a summary of the major responsibilities of the position.

Position: Server Assistant

Department: Taqueria Centro

Purpose: The Server Assistant role provides quality service that exceeds Guest and Member expectations. Works to create guests for life by proactively embracing service standards, adhering to safety regulations, and gaining knowledge to assist guests with all needs.

Reports to: Restaurant Manager

Essential Functions

• Proper Restaurant/ Pool Setup both BOH and FOH
• Must have familiarity with menus and beverage offerings.
• Responsible for Running food, bussing tables, polishing glassware, resetting tables.
• Responsible for ice supply and stocking of any items that may be of need.
• Responsible for cleaning of the pool deck, cabanas, and pool bars.
• Responsible for stocking clean towel stations and taking dirty towels down to housekeeping.
• Awareness of all safety precautions and procedures to ensure a safe atmosphere for guests and employee partners.
• Proper Expo setup
• Ensure all products are fresh and of quality
• Responsible for transporting all necessary food items from the kitchen to the correct location.
• Pour/refill water.
• Proper use of a mop or a broom when needed.
• Ability to take out trash
• Open/ Move umbrellas upon request.
• Assist in moving tables and pool chairs.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Maintain a clean working area.
• Must be able to stand/walk through the shift for up to 8 hours.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills
• Must have a strong attention to detail.
• Assist in with tasks assigned by Manager.
• Must be able to carry a tray.

Tools and Equipment

• Computer and printer, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine,
• file folders, filing cabinet

Working Environment

• Interior of hotel, in all areas of the hotel.
• Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions, including extreme heat.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.
• Exposure to food items and beverages.
