Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Pomona, CA, seeks a Centrifugal Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Centac and Turbo Air compressor lines and related equipment.

You will read wiring diagrams, perform vibration and air quality troubleshooting, and coordinate with the Service team to order parts, document activities, and ensure safe operation in diverse environments. Travel daily to customer sites with a company vehicle provided.

Qualifications

• Read wiring schematics and diagrams to diagnose issues.
• Familiarity with compressor systems and related manuals.
• Ability to operate MS Office and basic computer applications.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance on pre-commissioning, start‑ups, installations, and repairs of compressed air systems.
• Read wiring schematics and diagrams, research complex technical issues, and implement solutions.
• Document service activities with work orders, checklists, and daily time sheets.
• Maintain rapport with customers by suggesting improvements and system enhancements.
• Conduct safety assessments and ensure proper operation of compressed air equipment.
• Order and gather parts with Service Coordinator for installations and repairs.
• Explain practices and policies to suppliers and others outside the job area.
• Conduct basic vibration and air quality troubleshooting.
