Job summary

ProTech Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Centralized Services Engineer II to help maintain the performance, security, and stability of managed client environments.

You will work within the Centralized Services team to automate tasks, apply patches, and monitor systems, collaborating with Service Desk, NOC, and Professional Services. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in IT, hands-on experience with RMM tools (ConnectWise Automate, N-able, Atera), scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python), and strong

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in IT, CS, or related field.
• 2–4 years in a technical support or IT admin role in MSP.
• Hands-on with RMM tools and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Proficiency with Windows Server, AD, Microsoft 365, and Azure.
• Knowledge of patching, endpoint management, and monitoring.
• Experience with backup platforms (Veeam, Datto, Acronis).
• Strong networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain RMM tools (ConnectWise Automate, N-able, Atera).
• Execute and optimize patching, antivirus, and backup monitoring.
• Develop PowerShell or other scripts to automate tasks.
• Deploy standardized software and configurations across clients.
• Monitor alerts and perform proactive remediation.
• Maintain documentation in PSA and IT Glue/Hudu.
• Onboard new clients into centralized systems.
• Support HIPAA, NIST, ISO compliance via standard controls.
• Collaborate with Service Desk and Projects for escalations.
• Analyze system health trends to drive improvements.
• Maintain patching compliance reports and health dashboards.

Operating within the Centralized Services team, you will maintain automation systems, perform proactive maintenance tasks, execute patching and scripting activities, and support infrastructure monitoring efforts. You will collaborate closely with Service Desk, NOC, and Professional Services teams to ensure a seamless client experience.

Job Description

• Manage and maintain RMM tools (e.g., "ConnectWise Automate", "N-able", Atera, etc.)
• Execute and optimize patch management, antivirus, and backup monitoring processes
• Develop and maintain PowerShell or other scripts to automate recurring tasks
• Deploy standardized software and configurations across client environments
• Monitor and respond to alerts, ensuring proactive remediation before client impact
• Maintain documentation and configurations in the PSA and documentation platforms (e.g., IT Glue, Hudu)
• Assist with onboarding new clients into centralized systems
• Participate in compliance initiatives (e.g., HIPAA, NIST, ISO) via standardized controls
• Collaborate with Service Desk and Project teams to coordinate proactive work and escalations
• Analyze trends in system health data to recommend improvements
• Maintain patching compliance reports and health dashboards

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• preferred
• 2-4 years of experience in a technical support, IT administration, or Centralized Services role within an MSP or similar environment
• Hands-on experience with RMM tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Azure
• Strong understanding of endpoint management, patching processes, and monitoring solutions
• Ability to write, test, and troubleshoot automation scripts
• Experience working with backup platforms (e.g., Veeam, Datto, Acronis)
• Solid knowledge of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, etc.)
