Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED equivalent required.
• Knowledge of multiple insurance authorization requirements.
• 1–2 years hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Routinely schedules tests and procedure cases for all patients as scheduled events.
• Coordinates with departments as necessary.
• Enters accurate patient demographics, insurance, and authorizations when applicable.
• Notifies departments of equipment, instrumentation, and supplies from outside vendors as needed for surgeries.
• Prepares and distributes the surgical schedule and on-call list.
