Job summary

Saint Anthony Hospital in Chicago, IL seeks a Central Scheduling Scheduler Lead, a full-time role with day shift (7:30am–6pm). You will oversee scheduling requests, verify demographics and insurance, and ensure pre-registration and authorization accuracy using Meditech Expanse.

You’ll support patients with inquiries, manage queues, and coordinate with financial counselors to minimize denials and optimize reimbursement. A strong customer-service focus is essential.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of scheduling and/or insurance verification experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to type minimum 30 wpm.
• Able to work from 7am-6:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Process scheduling requests from physician offices and patients using manual and automated systems.
• Obtain demographics, insurance, and financial information; complete preregistration and financial screening.
• Verify medical necessity and payor guidelines for authorizations.
• Assist with routine patient inquiries related to scheduling and pre-registration; maintain records.
• Manage multiple tasks with a strong customer service orientation.
