Hamilton Health Center is seeking a Patient Access Representative - Centralized Scheduling in Harrisburg, PA. The role handles inbound and outbound scheduling calls, manages provider schedules, and verifies patient information to support access and satisfaction.

The position requires strong customer service, accuracy, and effective communication. Primary duties include scheduling, data updates in the EMR, and assisting callers with direct numbers while supporting department protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a customer service-related position, preferably involving direct patient care.
• Experience in a customer service-based center, general customer service, medical registration, or other related field preferred.
• Reliable transportation to travel throughout the service area.

Responsibilities

• Schedule incoming and outgoing patient appointments using department-specific protocols with high accuracy.
• Coordinate provider schedule cancellations and reschedule affected patients.
• Verify patient information by telephone, including demographic, insurance, payment balances, and co-pay requirements.
• Update patient demographics in the EMR with high accuracy.
• Direct calls received through PBX overflow and educate callers on direct numbers.
• Assist callers and transfer calls in a friendly and informative manner.
• Participate in special projects and meetings as assigned.
