Job summary

Hot Springs Health Clinics in Riverton, WY is seeking a Centralized Scheduler/Patient Access Rep for a full-time daytime role. You will greet patients, verify insurance, collect demographics, schedule appointments, and ensure accurate registration using Accureg while maintaining confidentiality.

This role supports front-office operations, handles correspondence, and works with clinic staff to provide excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• The Centralized Scheduler shall be:
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• 2-3 years Medical Office or hospital experience preferred
• High School graduate or equivalent
• Must possess communication skills, both orally and written to relate to the public in person
• Demonstrate good organizational and leadership abilities
• Basic computer skills necessary
• Willingness to occasionally work outside the normal office hours, if necessary, to meet the needs of the clinic

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and care givers on arrival in a friendly, prompt and courteous manner utilizing AIDET, patient check in and check out, collect all Co Pays and payments at time of service.
• Answer telephone in a prompt and courteous manner, Schedule, reschedule cancelled appointments as needed and documents in the patient chart.
• Obtain and verify all insurance and demographic information from patient, obtain signatures on patient conditions of admission.
• Assist patients during checkout and schedule follow-up appointments as needed, address patient questions, concerns, issues and portal appointment requests.
• Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence.
• secure records, cash boxes and lock office at the end of day.
• Provide administrative support as well as cooperate and communicate with the medical staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality complying with HIPAA regulatory requirements
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front office.
• Other duties as assigned
