Jefferson Regional Medical Center is seeking a Centralized Scheduler to manage outpatient diagnostic testing appointments across multiple hospital departments. You will coordinate with patients and physicians to ensure smooth scheduling and high patient satisfaction.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, 1 year of medical office or hospital clerical experience, and proficiency with computers and scheduling software. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of medical office or hospital clerical experience.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Able to communicate with patients and physicians’ offices in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Work under pressure with time constraints and coordinate multiple duties.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Some knowledge of medical terminology and scheduling experience preferred.
• Proficiency in using EHR systems and scheduling software is a plus.

What You Should Know About the Centralized Scheduler:

• Monday- Friday: Typical hours 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
• This position is based within Jefferson Regional Patient Access Department

Job Summary:

The Centralized Scheduler is responsible for scheduling all outpatient diagnostic testing. This role is responsible for patient appointments across multiple departments within the hospital. They ensure efficient and effective scheduling to maximize patient satisfaction, optimize resource utilization, and support clinical staff.

Centralized Scheduler Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or other related field preferred.
• Minimum Requirements:
  1. Minimum 1 year of medical office or hospital clerical experience.
  2. Must have proficient computer skills.
  3. Must be able to communicate with patients and physicians offices in a pleasant and professional manner at all times.
  4. Must be able to work under pressure with time constraints and must be able to coordinate multiple office duties at the same time.
  5. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Preferred Requirements:
  1. Some knowledge of medical terminology and scheduling experience preferred.
  2. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling software is a plus.
