Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc is seeking a Centralized Billing Office Manager to lead centralized revenue cycle operations across multiple ambulatory surgery centers in California. You will supervise billing, A/R, collections, posting, verifications, and authorizations, ensuring standardized workflows and strong cross-functional collaboration with center leadership and the Revenue Cycle Director.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, medical billing, accounts receivable, or business office operations.
• Previous supervisory or management experience.
• Strong understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle from front-end processes through billing, A/R, collections, and payment posting.
• Experience working with multiple locations, departments, or business units preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret revenue cycle reports and performance metrics.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare revenue cycle systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day centralized billing operations and ensure timely completion of revenue cycle activities.
• Establish and maintain standardized workflows, procedures, and work queues across centers.
• Monitor billing activity to ensure claims are submitted accurately and timely.
• Identify billing delays and workflow inefficiencies and implement corrective action.
• Oversee centralized A/R and collections activities to support cash and A/R goals.
• Supervise, coach, and develop centralized business office staff.
• Monitor and report key revenue cycle performance indicators (A/R days, aging, cash collections, denials).
• Identify opportunities to centralize, standardize, and streamline revenue cycle processes.
• Partner with center Business Office Managers, Administrators, and corporate departments to resolve issues.
