Job summary

Washington Regional Medical Center seeks a Director, Central Billing Office to provide strategic and operational leadership of our centralized patient financial services. You will oversee hospital and professional billing, claims management, cash posting, and patient collections, driving compliant reimbursement and a patient-centered financial experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in a related field.
• HFMA CRCR, CHFP or similar certification preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership in healthcare billing/revenue cycle.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for centralized billing across the system.
• Direct end-to-end billing, insurance follow-up, denials, cash posting, and patient collections.
• Establish KPI dashboards for AR, cash collections, denial rates, and productivity.
• Develop managers and staff; mentor and succession plan within the Central Billing Office.
• Collaborate with Patient Financial Access and Coding Services to optimize revenue cycle.
