Job summary

Amentum seeks a Central Utility Plant Operator for its Greater St. Louis area site. The role focuses on safe operation and maintenance of CUP equipment within a large pharmaceutical facility, with a night shift of 12 hours and 3–4 days per week.

The CUP Operator will monitor BAS, perform maintenance, manage logs, and coordinate with subcontractors, reading drawings, and supporting building systems using CMMS and Metasys.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of experience as an industrial HVAC or industrial mechanical maintenance technician, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• City of St. Louis Stationary Engineer license, Class I.
• Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location.
• Willing to work overtime, holidays, shifts, weekends, and alternate schedules.
• Citizen or Permanent resident of the United States; no sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Central Utility Plant equipment for a large pharmaceutical facility.
• Monitor building automation systems for safe, efficient operation and adjust as needed.
• Record daily equipment logs and submit reports.
• Identify problems and create work orders; coordinate subcontractor activities.
• Perform water treatment chemical analysis and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Read drawings/prints and assist with building support services and repairs.
• Work with CMMS and Johnson Controls BAS; read technical manuals.
• Other duties as assigned by Management or Lead.
