Automated Systems, Inc. seeks a Utilities Control Room Operator for a 12+ month contract in North Chicago, IL. The role operates from the control room, monitoring and managing critical plant utilities to ensure reliable pharmaceutical manufacturing.

You will respond to alarms, assist with troubleshooting, and coordinate with Maintenance and site personnel to maintain compliant utility operations on a 3rd-shift schedule (7:00 PM–7:00 AM).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing or plant operations preferred.
• Ability to monitor multiple utility systems and alarms.
• Onsite 3rd shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) availability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate critical plant utility systems through control room interfaces and building/utility monitoring systems.
• Monitor utility equipment for proper operation, performance trends, alarms, and abnormal conditions.
• Respond to equipment alarms, perform initial troubleshooting, and coordinate with Maintenance and site personnel to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate control room logs, operating records, checklists and documentation.
• Follow SOPs, safety procedures and site requirements for monitoring and operating utility systems.
• Support planned and unplanned maintenance activities by providing operational information.
