Job summary
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a skilled Stationary Engineer to support the operation and reliability of central utility systems essential to patient care and research. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training preferred.
- Experience with boiler, chiller, cooling towers, and water treatment systems.
- Healthcare or large institutional environment experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate central utility systems including chilled water, steam, and hot water.
- Monitor and optimize energy use and system reliability.
- Perform preventive maintenance on boilers, chillers, and pumps.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and coordinate repairs with contractors.
- Maintain water chemistry logs and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate work orders and communicate system status to teams.
