Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to maintain sterilization standards for surgical instruments and supplies. You will assemble, decontaminate, and store instruments and collaborate with Perioperative staff to ensure timely provision of instrument sets and carts.

The role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and excellent customer service to support a smooth operating room workflow in a high-volume hospital setting.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Central Sterile Tech required or 3 years Central Sterile experience.
• CCST - Certified Central Service Technician preferred or CST - Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains recommended standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts.
• Assists in maintaining consistent and continuous work flow, providing superior customer service.

• No experience required if incumbent has a Central Sterile Tech certification Required
