Job summary

Piedmont Rockdale Hospital is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to maintain instrument sets and ensure sterile processing standards on site. You will collaborate with Perioperative Nursing staff, prepare instrument containers, and support a smooth workflow with attention to detail and a strong commitment to patient safety.

The role requires CST certification or equivalent education/experience as outlined; you’ll work in a fast-paced operating room environment and contribute to reliable supply

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Central Sterile Tech program.
• In lieu of CST Certificate, 3 years of Central Sterile experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assists in maintaining consistent and continuous work flow, providing superior customer service.
