Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Atlanta, GA seeks a Central Sterile Technician to maintain standards for instrument set assembly, decontamination, and sterilization. You will prepare sterile instrument sets and collaborate with Perioperative Nursing to ensure timely delivery and inventory accuracy.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and CST or Central Sterile Tech certification, with 3 years of Central Sterile experience, or CST certification in lieu of experience.

Maintains recommended standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner. Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment. Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts in an accurate and timely manner. Assists in maintaining consistent and continuous work flow, providing superior customer service.

• Graduate of a Central Sterile Tech Required or
• In Lieu of CST Certificate, 3 years of Central Sterile experience Required

Work Experience
