Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to assemble, sterilize, and store surgical instruments and supplies. You will work closely with Perioperative Nursing to ensure timely provision of instrument sets and carts.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, CST certification, or three years of Central Sterile experience in lieu of CST. Strong teamwork and reliable service are essential to support patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Central Sterile Tech program required.
• In lieu of CST certificate, 3 years of Central Sterile experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts promptly.
• Maintains consistent workflow and delivers superior customer service.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and
• Graduate of a Central Sterile Tech Required or
• In Lieu of CST Certificate, 3 years of Central Sterile experience Required

Work Experience

• 3 years of Central Sterile experience Required or
• No experience required if incumbent has a Central Sterile Tech certification Required

Licenses and Certifications

• CCST - Certified Central Service Technician Preferred or
