KAISER PERMANENTE in Atlanta, Georgia seeks a Technician II, Central Sterile Processing to perform decontamination, preparation, packaging, sterilization and high level disinfection of reusable surgical instruments and endoscopes across KPGA locations.

Under supervision, you will track instruments, maintain inventories, and ensure rapid, safe responses to critical situations. Requires two years of processing experience and relevant certifications; associates degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience cleaning and sterilizing instruments and endoscope reprocessing.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution - Technician Certification OR Registered Central Service Technician Certificate from Healthcare Sterile Processing Association.
• Knowledge of OSHA, AORN, AAMI, ASGE, SGNA and APIC standards, and sterilization and flexible endoscope process.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills.
• Customer service skills and Kaiser understanding.

Responsabilités

• Disassemble, clean, and inspect complex instrumentation and endoscopes per policies.
• Clean, decontaminate, inspect instruments and endoscopes observing procedures.
• Review, assemble, and package instrumentation for sterilization.
• Sterilize or high level disinfect items per instructions and safety rules.
• Use PPE as required and report safety issues immediately.
• Monitor parameters on all equipment.
• Perform QA/QC on sterilizers, washers, and AER equipment.
• Track instruments using the CSPD tracking system.
• Maintain PAR stocking and inventory control.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal/external customers.
• Assist customers and respond to concerns in a courteous manner.
• Resolve member concerns and escalate when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of surgical procedures and appropriate instrumentation.
• Follow policies and attendance expectations.
