Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Seattle is seeking a Central Service Technician II to support inventory, decontamination, sterilization and coordinated instrument distribution within the sterile core. The role emphasizes safety, infection control and collaboration with surgical teams.

Required is at least one year in CS/OR instrumentation reprocessing, GED or high school diploma, and certification within 3 months of hire. Onsite work with eligible sign-on bonus and location premiums.

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year of experience with C.S., O.R. instrumentation reprocessing or related area.
• Completion of the Central Service Training course is required by date of hire/transfer.
• Infection control knowledge and medical terminology basics are expected.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, pick up and receive reusable instruments and equipment, ensuring items are complete and handled to prevent damage or loss.
• Disassemble, clean, disinfect and sterilize reusable instruments and medical devices.
• Reassemble, inspect and test all multi-part devices to ensure safe and proper function.
• Assemble, package, process and store medical supplies and equipment; distribute reprocessed products.
• Operate department equipment safely and monitor performance indicators to initiate corrective action if needed.
