Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to join a hospital setting in Georgia. You will maintain standards for set assembly, decontamination, and sterilization of surgical instruments, and coordinate with Perioperative Nursing to ensure timely supply of instrument sets and case carts.

Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are required.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Central Sterile Tech required.
• In lieu of CST Certificate, 3 years of Central Sterile experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments accurately and timely.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts.
• Assists in maintaining consistent workflow and superior customer service.

Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment. Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts in an accurate and timely manner. Assists in maintaining consistent and continuous work flow, providing superior customer service.

• Graduate of a Central Sterile Tech Required or

Work Experience

• No experience required if incumbent has a Central Sterile Tech certification Required

• CCST - Certified Central Service Technician Preferred or
