Job summary

DCH Health System is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate and sterilize medical supplies and to coordinate surgical case equipment. You will support the OR by ensuring timely availability of instruments and maintaining clean, safe work areas.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred college coursework and Central Service certification. AHA BLS training is required, and weekend/holiday on-call may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Certification in Central Service or prior sterilization experience desirable.
• AHA BLS Provider training required.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and sterilize supplies for all departments.
• Prepare, maintain and coordinate surgical case supplies.
• Monitor inventory and availability of routine and special order supplies.
• Ensure smooth operation of the area to support OR staff.
• Monitor quality testing of sterilizers and instrument loads.
