Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Central Service Technician to support the operating room and procedural areas by decontaminating, sterilizing, inspecting, and distributing instruments. You will work under Central Service Leaders and collaborate with the OR team.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, instrumentation experience or completion of a Central Service vocational program, and certification within one year. This full-time role offers a Tuesday-Friday?

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A minimum of one year of instrumentation experience OR completion of a Central Service vocational program with full certification.
• Central Service Technician certification required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, assembly, inspection, packaging, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable instruments and equipment for surgical and other procedures.
• Cleaning, packaging and re-processing of reusable surgical equipment, instrumentation and scopes per manufacturer’s guidelines.
• Maintaining inventory and storage of processed supplies.
• Meeting the needs of the surgical team through support of activities in the sterile core.
