Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to support the Operating Room by cleaning, assembling and issuing sterile supplies. Responsibilities include decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, and sterilizing instruments to ensure all tools used in procedures are safe and infection-free.

Qualified candidates should have a High School diploma and a CS Tech certification (preferred), with at least two years in a health care facility and ability to communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Familiar with basic medical terminology.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminating, inspecting, assembling and sterilizing medical and surgical instruments.
• Process instruments and equipment using steam, gas and chemicals.
• Ensure every tool used in operating rooms is safe and free of infection.
