Job summary

Universal Hospital Services Inc. is seeking a Central Sterile Technician in a healthcare facility in Eagle Pass, Texas.

You will support operating room services by preparing and handling sterile supplies and instruments to ensure safety and readiness for procedures. Responsibilities include sterilizing, decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, and distributing instruments, and maintaining accurate records while adhering to infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Licensure, Certification, Registration, etc.: Central Sterile Technician Certification preferred.
• Prefer an LVN, C.M.A. or related field.
• Special Skills, Knowledge: At least two years of experience in a health care facility preferred. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Familiar with basic medical terminology. Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalency, basic understanding/working knowledge of aseptic technique, able to work independently required. Certification and/or prior CS Tech experience preferred.
