Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking an experienced Central Sterile Processing Technician to support instrument preparation across Medical Centers, ambulatory surgery centers, and clinics. The role emphasizes rapid, correct response to critical situations in the OR and other units.

Under indirect supervision, you will decontaminate, assemble, sterilize, and distribute instrumentation, perform quality assurance, and maintain documentation per CSP policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certification required: CBC or RCS Certification (or equivalent).
• Ability to work with indirect supervision or independently in CSP.

Responsibilities

• Clean, decontaminate, inspect and track reusable instrumentation.
• Review, assemble, package instrumentation, and sterilize per requirements.
• Receive unused instruments, stock OR carts, and respond to emergency calls.
• Perform quality assurance and biological testing per CSP policies.
• Provide excellent customer service in a healthcare environment.
