This role oversees scheduling requests from physician offices and patients, ensuring accurate processing and timely preregistration and financial screening while adhering to payor guidelines.

The position requires 1-3 years in scheduling/insurance verification, strong communication, and familiarity with Meditech Expanse.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement principles.
• Knowledge of healthcare computer systems relating to patient access and patient financial services.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to type minimum 30 wpm.
• Able to work from 7am-6:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reports and work queue workflows under the Scheduling Manager.
• Verify benefits, preauthorizations and other pertinent information in Meditech Expanse in a timely manner.
• Call patients to obtain referrals, pre-authorizations, pre-registration and tracking numbers to maximize reimbursement and minimize denials.
• Explain benefits and payment options and arrange deposits or references to Financial Counselor when needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and manage multiple tasks with strong attention to accuracy.
• Ensure accurate notes and documentation in scheduling and pre-registration processes.
