Job summary

United Health Centers of the San Joaquin Valley is seeking a Central Referrals Representative at our Fresno Corporate location. The role coordinates referrals for outpatient testing and specialist visits, answers patient and office questions, and maintains referral documentation in I2I tracks.

Experience in a health center helps, as does bilingual ability. The position offers competitive pay and benefits with a focus on patient service and data accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Two years of health center experience preferred; scheduling/referral knowledge helpful.
• Bilingual preferred but not required; strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate referrals to specialty providers.
• Schedule outpatient testing and appointments.
• Provide patient guidance and prepare referral packets.
• Manage documentation in I2I and ensure data integrity.
• Answer calls on a multi-line system and assist patients and offices.
