M.C. Dean is seeking a Stationary Operations Engineer in the Washington, DC area to oversee and maintain stationary equipment across facilities, ensuring safe, efficient operation.

This role requires deep knowledge of boilers, HVAC, chillers, pumps, and related control systems, with strong problem-solving and documentation skills. The position emphasizes preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and rapid response to service calls, working within a team of facilities and engineering

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 8+ years of facilities maintenance experience.
• Experience operating central utility plants and institutional mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and sequences of operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain stationary equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Operate boilers, HVAC systems, chillers, pumps, and related control systems.
• Perform routine inspections, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Document inspections, repairs, and system logs in CMMS per standards.
• Respond to service calls and coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and safety protocols.
