Job summary

CFS is seeking a Central Operations Coordinator in Independence, OH to support owner operators, terminals, customers, and internal teams. The role focuses on daily operational needs, relationship building, and process improvements to maximize utilization and customer satisfaction.

You will engage in performance analytics, reporting, and collaboration with leadership to drive efficiency while supporting business development efforts and ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1–2 years of related business, operations, logistics, or customer service experience.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with drivers, customers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Customer-focused, analytical, and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support owner operators with operational needs, issue resolution, and day-to-day communication
• Build relationships with terminals, agents, and customers while providing ongoing operational support
• Monitor load availability, equipment positioning, and owner operator capacity to maximize utilization
• Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and support inside sales and business development efforts
• Perform administrative and operational functions including account setup, credit checks, load advances, reporting, and documentation management
