Responsibilities

Summary/Responsibilities: A Sales Lead applies advanced skills in procedures and techniques specific to their area of specialization. They may carry out supervisory responsibilities.

• Order assigned products to maximize sales
• Possess and convey a culinary level of food expertise
• Work under minimal supervision following detailed verbal and written instructions
• Apply guidelines, rules, and procedures to decisions
• Monitor and address problems promptly
• Make sound decisions on everyday issues
• Depending on the department, possess specific product knowledge

• Assist in ordering
• May assist in writing weekly department schedules
• Identify and prioritize high-importance activities

Experience and Education (Preferred)

• Typically requires 5-8 years of experience
• Knowledge of department products, food preparation, and equipment
• Extensive knowledge of specialty foods and food prep
• Strong customer service skills
• Passion for food
• Materials Handling Equipment certification
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures
• Previous retail or restaurant experience required
