WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Siding Products Group (SPG) is seeking a driven, talented, and experienced Injection Molding Process Manager to join our team. The role focuses on driving process excellence using Industry 4.0 methodologies to support our growing business. Projects will aim to reduce variation in critical process variables, establishing sustainable systems to enhance processes, performance, and product development across SPG’s extensive product line.

The Central Injection Molding Process Manager will lead cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives, oversee process improvement initiatives in injection molding, equipment setup, troubleshooting, and secondary processes like blending, feeding, and foam extrusion.

This role involves collaboration with R&D, Quality & Process Control, Plant Operations, Project Engineers, and Product Managers to create and implement project plans, conduct experiments, analyze data, and present findings. The candidate will also propose new projects, including equipment and mold specifications and color development.

As part of the Process Optimization Support team, secondary responsibilities include supporting extrusion, packaging, and material handling areas.

1. Develop and improve injection molding processes to reduce costs and incorporate state-of-the-art technology.
2. Collaborate on NPD projects, process improvements, raw material usage, and equipment commissioning.
3. Lead scale-up processes to ensure manufacturing readiness for new processes, molds, and products.
4. Own process parameters and control plans for all injection molding activities.
5. Serve as SME for injection molding, training plant resources to standardize and optimize processes.
6. Support plant upset conditions by diagnosing complex issues and implementing corrective actions.
7. Build a community of process engineers to share knowledge and leverage project information.
8. Align projects with sustainability goals and business needs.
9. Provide technical leadership and manage multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
10. Communicate effectively with internal teams, university collaborators, and customers.
11. Develop employees and self to reach full potential, demonstrating technical leadership.
