About Commercial Operations

Commercial Operations (CML Ops) is one of the largest divisions in the Commercial Bank. This team's scope is horizontal across the bank and supports numerous data support processes. As a Principal Process Manager (Principal Associate), you will lead a high performing team to improve our data environment. Your responsibilities include leading associates, identifying process gaps, and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage a team of 3-4 Data Support Associates across geographies.
  2. Collect, analyze, and report on data to provide transparency to senior leadership and executives.
  3. Manage data maintenance requests and issues, and develop strategies to improve data quality and processes.
  4. Identify data process risks and develop mitigation and resolution strategies.
  5. Create and moderate data dashboards, visualizations, procedures, and process flow diagrams.
  6. Collaborate with teams across Commercial Operations, Technology, and Product to identify opportunities for data support improvements.
  7. Coach team members to ensure job satisfaction, policy adherence, and quality standards.
  8. Resolve complex problems and escalate process breakdowns, involving stakeholders as needed.
  9. Foster a culture of trust, collaboration, and high performance.
  10. Develop and recognize team members to achieve personal and professional goals.
  11. Monitor team performance related to leadership, inclusion, and engagement.
Basic Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree or Military experience.
  2. At least 2 years of Process Management experience.
  3. At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
  4. At least 1 year of experience with Jira and Confluence.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. At least 3 years of Process Management experience.
  2. Experience in data analysis and reporting for at least 1 year.
  3. Experience with Tableau, Salesforce, or similar tools for at least 1 year.
  4. Certification in Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma.
  5. At least 1 year of experience in a People Leader role.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range varies by location, with specific ranges listed for Charlotte, NC; Plano, TX; and Richmond, VA. The role is eligible for performance-based incentives, including bonuses and long-term incentives. Capital One offers comprehensive benefits supporting your well-being.
