Job summary

TForce Freight is seeking a Central Dispatch Supervisor to manage timely movement of customer freight and coordinate load planning within a regional scope. You will supervise dispatch specialists and clerks, forecast freight volumes, and ensure cost-effective operations while maintaining regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and a track record in production/trucking environments, with strong attention to detail and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or internationally comparable degree) required.
• Experience in production/processing environment and/or trucking preferred.
• Legal, regulatory and compliance knowledge required.
• Willing to work flexible shift hours and possibly weekends (preferred).
• U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• Reviews freight volume and forecasts with Operations to plan load needs and staffing.
• Creates contingency plans for variances (volume, driver issues, weather, delays).
• Communicates plans with Operations to handle freight and meet service levels.
• Monitors freight movement to identify issues affecting cost and mitigate delays.
• Plans equipment needs for contracts to reduce idle time and cost.
