Job summary

Howard University is seeking an Centers and Institutes Operations Partner to drive onboarding, cross-functional coordination, and service readiness across university offices. You will help develop playbooks, support budgeting with Finance, and ensure timely, consistent operations for new centers and institutes.

The role focuses on onboarding, escalation management, playbook development, training, space planning, and stakeholder communication to maintain day-one readiness and ongoing operational

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, higher education administration, public administration, organizational leadership, or a related field.
• Five to seven years of progressively responsible professional experience in higher education administration or similar environment.
• Experience coordinating work across multiple functional areas such as HR, Finance, Procurement, operations, facilities, or technology services.
• Experience managing projects and cross-functional initiatives requiring collaboration across organizational lines.
• Experience developing process documentation, operational guidance, training materials, or similar tools.
• Working knowledge of Workday or comparable ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Serve as central operations coordinator across HR, Finance, Procurement, and IT services.
• Coordinate onboarding for new Centers and Institutes for day-one readiness.
• Track requests involving multiple offices and escalate delays.
• Develop and refine playbooks for centers and institutes.
