Job summary

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking a Millwright/Centerline Superintendent to lead precision mechanical installation on power generation projects. You will oversee alignment, setting, and testing of major rotating and stationary equipment, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality compliance.

You will direct union crews, coordinate with civil, structural, piping and startup teams, and drive accuracy in centerline, vibration actions, and equipment turnover.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in millwright and mechanical installation on heavy industrial projects.
• Leadership experience as Superintendent, General Foreman, or Foreman on union projects.
• Strong knowledge of precision alignment methods and centerline establishment.
• Experience with turbines, pumps, motors, and other rotating equipment.
• Ability to read construction drawings and schedules.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead millwright and centerline installation from receipt to turnover.
• Direct supervision of union crews to safe, productive work.
• Enforce safety policies and regulatory requirements.
• Plan and coordinate alignment, leveling, grouting, and measurements.
• Coordinate installation of turbines, generators, pumps, motors, and gearboxes.
• Establish centerline and elevation controls for equipment.
• Perform laser, optical, shaft, and coupling alignment.
• Support commissioning and system turnover activities.
• Maintain project reporting on progress and budgets.
• Foster teamwork and operational excellence.
