Job summary

LISI Aerospace in Walteria, CA is seeking a Centerless Grinder Specialist to operate and optimize centerless grinders and assist in manufacturing fasteners and related parts. The role emphasizes precision, safety, and continuous improvement on a multi-machine setup.

You will set up machines, verify tolerances with precision measuring tools, and collaborate with supervisors to assign work while maintaining quality and throughput. Extensive experience in aerospace grinding and SPC is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 10+ years combined education and work experience preferred.
• Experience in aerospace fastener manufacturing environment required.
• Advanced knowledge of grinder machinery and procedures.
• Advanced knowledge of SPC and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain centerless grinders per blueprints and specs.
• Setup, run, and troubleshoot automatic and hand-feed machines.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure print conformance.
• Train and assess operators for production efficiency.
• Report safety, maintenance issues, and nonconformances to supervision.
