Job summary

RBC Bearings Incorporated in California is seeking a skilled grinder for a 2nd shift. This position requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs, with some overtime Mon-Sat. You will set up and operate centerless and cylindrical grinders on aerospace parts.

Applicants must read blueprints, know wheel dressing, and perform precision gauging. Three years of related experience, basic shop math to .0001”, and a proactive, results-driven attitude are required.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience with centerless grinders and cylindrical grinders.
• Basic grinding skills to set-up and run multiple cylindrical parts.
• Knowledge of grinding wheels and wheel dressing.
• Read blueprints and familiar with precision gauging of aerospace parts.
• Mechanical skills and basic shop mathematics to decimals of .0001”.
• Results-oriented, motivated and able to handle changing priorities.
• Exposure to an industrial environment is preferred.
• Reading blueprints and working with metals is helpful.

Responsibilities
