M.S. Aerospace Inc. in Sylmar, CA is seeking a Night shift Grinding Operator to set up and operate a centerless grinding machine, turning forged blanks into close-tolerance machined parts. You will coach trainees, monitor quality, and document production data daily.

The role requires a High School Diploma, basic arithmetic, and the ability to work in a team. We offer full-time hours on 2nd shift with overtime as needed and a competitive benefits package.

We also support the most demanding OEMs in the commercial aviation industry.**Join one of the fastest-growing aerospace companies by** **!** **Night shift Grinding Operator****Department/ Area:** Grind* Purpose: To prepare forged blank bolts into close tolerance machined parts ready for thread rolling, machine parts per process sketch following established procedures.Essential Functions: Install grinding and feed wheels on machine, position accessory tooling, balance, dress and adjust grinding wheel, using dresser with or without cams. Operate the machine. Visually and dimensionally check samples. Enter production and quality data in computer reporting system. Coaches a trainee and monitors quality for both.* Daily tasks: Maintain work area organized with required tools, inspection gages and instructions. Monitor production data and report at end of task or shift. Weigh count piece production. Participate in required training classes.**Minimum Qualifications****:*** High School Diploma* Working Knowledge of machines and tools* Some advanced arithmetic skills required.**Reporting Relationships:** Reports to group lead person or department supervisor.**Working Conditions:** All day standing, repetitive manual motion, heavy physical work at time of some set-up.**Success Factors****:** Willingness to learn and teach, attention to details, ability to work in a group and to memorize simple procedures for machining and checking.
