Job summary

RBC Bearings in California is looking for skilled operators for centerless and cylindrical grinders. The successful candidate will set up and run machines with a focus on precision and quality, working primarily on the 2nd shift from Monday to Saturday.

Applicants must have at least three years of experience and the ability to perform tasks with great accuracy and efficiency in an industrial environment. Pay ranges from $22 to $28 per hour with opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Knowledge of grinding wheels and wheel dressing.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run centerless and cylindrical grinders for multiple cylindrical parts.
• Apply grinding wheel dressing and maintain selection.
• Read blueprints and perform precision gauging.

Job description

Position requires standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Candidate must have three years of experience with centerless grinders and cylindrical grinders. Possess basic grinding skills required to set-up and run multiple cylindrical parts. Have knowledge of grinding wheels and wheel dressing. Able to read blue prints and familiar with precision gauging of aerospace parts. Possess mechanical skills and basic shop mathematics skills working with decimals to .0001”. Must be results-oriented, motivated, and deal with changing priorities. Candidate must have some exposure to an industrial environment, Able to read blueprints, Knowledge of working with metals helpful, Must be able to stand, walk for long periods and lift heavy gages, Some overtime may be required. Monday-Saturday.
