Job summary

Hannaford in Claremont, NH seeks an Assigned Department Lead to assist the Store Manager in department operations, driving sales through merchandising and building strong associate and customer relations. You will model high customer service standards, oversee daily tasks, and ensure safety, sanitation, and food safety across the department.

You will manage schedules, use financial tools, and provide coaching to team members, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Ability to lead and direct others.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques preferred.
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or attend company training to achieve accreditation within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Assigned Department operations in accordance with established practices, including absence coverage for the Assistant Store Manager.
• Provide excellent customer service and promote sales through strong customer relations.
• Grow sales through effective merchandising strategies.
• Maintain department conditions in appearance, quality, variety, safety, sanitation, and food safety.
• Maintain accurate records of production, shrink, sales, and inventory.
• Use company tools such as financial reports, scheduling, productivity, ordering, and business information systems.
• Assist in creating and maintaining work schedules to meet production and customer service standards.
