Job summary

SpartanNash, a leading food solutions company, is seeking a Store Department Leader in Granger, IN. You will oversee day-to-day department operations, supervise staff, manage inventory, and ensure product quality and compliance with safety standards.

You’ll coordinate with leadership to meet goals, communicate schedules, and drive best practices across the store’s department. A hands-on, results-driven approach is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of retail experience preferred.
• One-year supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication and bookkeeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day department operations in a retail store.
• Manage inventory ordering, freshness, and quality.
• Supervise stocking, production, and related tasks to ensure quality and date rotation.
• Maintain familiarity with products, ads, and store promotions.
• Communicate flight plans and meet company expectations and timelines.
• Implement schedules, labor control, overtime control, and payroll for the department.
• Ensure food safety and general safety guidelines are followed.
• Participate in daily huddles and meetings; support district and company reviews.
